Vishveshwarya Group of Institutions organized a blood donation camp on its campus on October 30, 2023, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The camp was organized under the inspiration of Mr. Vijay Kumar Jindal, Chairman of SVP Group and President of Rotary Club Ghaziabad. He warmly appreciated the Rotary Club of Ghaziabad for their exceptional efforts. The secretary, Mr. Vineet Maheshtashi, emphasized the heartfelt commitment to nurturing the feeling that 'blood donation is the greatest gift. On this occasion, our visionary chairman, Mr. Sunil Jindal, inaugurated the program by donating blood. Our esteemed COO, Dr. Poornima Sharma, appealed to all faculty and students to donate blood in large numbers. Dr. Amit Kumar Agrawal, Dean of Academics, emphasized the importance of blood donation.
The popular courses like B.Pharm, and D. Pharm, organized a health check-up camp on campus under the supervision of Dr. Rajan, which was attended by students. During this camp, students underwent various health checks, including blood pressure, blood sugar, oxygen levels, and hemoglobin levels. Dr. Rajan provided appropriate medical advice based on the results. Dr. Subodh Tyagi, Dr. Satish Kumar, and their medical team from the Rotary Club Ghaziabad, including Mr. Kuldeep Gola and Mr. Shivam Kumar, conducted checks for faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students, which included blood pressure, body weight, pulse rate, blood sugar, blood group, and more. Subsequently, a unit of blood was collected from all donors. A significant number of faculty and students from the institution donated blood and also underwent their primary health checkup.
In making this blood donation camp a success, the institution's administrative director, Mrs. Ratna Verma, ensured all necessary resources were available. Mr. Hitendra Choudhary, Dean of Student Welfare, and Mr. Prabodh Dwivedi played vital roles in coordinating the event, contributing significantly to its success. Professor Hina Chadha (Principal, Pharmacy) expressed her gratitude to the Rotary Blood Bank Ghaziabad for their support during this successful event. Members of the Rotary Club of Ghaziabad were also present at this event.
