Introduction
Focus areas are providing guidance, counseling and bringing students and potential employers together to acheive the best possible placement depending on the market conditions .The department looks after the interest of the students and the employers by providing them the necessary platform.
VGI promises the student a secure placement, provided that he / she:
Secures at least 85% attendance in the all academic programs and co-curricular activities.
Secures minimum 75% marks in academic and non-academic assessments. Students will be provided adequate training to help them in achieving the highest levels of academic and personality accomplishments and we expect them to work hard and improve in the same.
Is open to all sectors / functions and locations.
Shows 100% adherence with disciplinary and placement rules.
Will work in placed company for min 1 year duration.
Any student who passes with 80% or above marks in assessment will get guaranteed placement by the Corporate Resource Department (CRD) and DIOS.
In our experience, those who work hard and show a strong personality (attaining 75%+ in internal assessments) find it very easy to get a good job. However, those who score poorly, despite the rigorous training provided by the college, may still find it difficult to get a good job. Generally, those who score 60%-75% get an assured job. The guarantee assumes full flexibility on kind of job, and stands nullified if the candidate is not open minded.
How placement works
Placement Policy
- It is mandatory for interested students to get registered with the placement department to take part in campus placement activities.
One student One Offer is our placement policy. Exceptions to this rule, as below:
- Placed CSE/IT students can appear for product based company with Higher Package as Dream Status Company.
- Once the student is placed with a product/core based company, he/she will not be allowed to appear in any other company.
- Students from Core branches placed in software companies will be allowed to appear in Core companies.
- Students may get multiple offers due to non-disclosure of the result in time by the company.
- Students are strictly not allowed to communicate with company officials. All queries should be routed through placement department only.
- Need based changes can be made in placement policy as and when required.

Before you begin
Eligibility & Registration
- Step 01
All students who expect to graduate / post graduate from VGI, by the end of the academic year and are seeking employment.
- Step 02
Each student should register to the placement cell with the filled registration form and submit the hard copy of the student- placement registration form to the placement officer along with their resume.
- Step 03
All students who wish to take part in the Institute campus placements should register for soft skills program organized by the institute.
- Step 04
All students should compulsorily attend all the soft skills classes failing which needs to the cancellation of placement registration.
